Welcome to MAP South Futures Program for all 2019-20120 hockey season Squirts and U10s. The Squirt / U10 Program provides 3 days of training. Each hour ice time will provide a combination of power skating and edge work drills along with specific puck skills training.
Our MAP South Futures Squirt / U10 Program provides the perfect opportunity for players to grow and develop under the eyes of MAP Hockey staff members before they are age eligible to be looked at for the full MAP Hockey Program. Ice times will be on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with ice times at both Saint Thomas Academy Ice Arena and historic West St Paul Arena!
Also part of this program is 45 minutes of off ice dryland training at both West Saint Paul Ice Arena and the MAP South Hockey Training Center at Saint Thomas Ice Arena immediately following the scheduled ice time.
MAP South's Junior Program directed by Sean Foley is a developmental hockey program for youth Squirt/U10 players featuring on and off-ice training. The sequential program is designed to introduce the age appropriate skills in a planned step by step progression and to properly sustain young athletes over an extended period of time. This will allow these skills to become a part of the player’s permanent repertoire.
This program stress proper technique and repetition for improving power and agility skating, quickness, stick handling, passing, and shooting skills in a supportive and positive environment.
The enrichment program is built on a 25 plus year history of teaching the proper skills and techniques necessary for the fast pace of hockey. We have a proven curriculum and methodology and the combined experience of our professional staff results in a premier program that not only challenges players but also give them the advantage necessary to take their game to the next level.
